Field Trips
Calculus and Analytic Geometry II
Diablo Valley College

2005-2006

Under an HP Technology for Teaching grant to enhance the Calculus II curriculum using mobile technology, D. Prapavessi at DVC is arranging field trips to organizations, industries and businesses that encounter Calculus problems in their practices.  Based on the field trip presentations, the students are then assigned projects through which they further explore the relevance and connections of what they are learning in the classroom to the real world practices.  These experiences serve to enhance student learning, instill self confidence and focus their academic plans on a vision of a future career.
