Mission Statement Advisory Committee

Every year, the DVC architecture program benefits from the generous donation of time and resources from local firms, practicing architects and visiting professors. Among our regular contributors to design reviews, lectures and mentoring are architects from numerous Bay Area firms and universities who attend final and midterm reviews to provide feedback on student work. We are also enormously grateful to the numerous local architects who participate in our ongoing Spring lecture series which brings professionals to the campus to present their work to students.

The architecture program is regularily involved in advisory committee meetings which provide guidance and input for the development of our curriculum and keep the program abreast of the latest trends in architecture and needs in professional practices.

The advisory committee meets once every semester to review the progress of the architecture program and monitor its development so as to best serve students and local firms. These meetings allow firms to give input on the development of the DVC program, the quality of its graduates and the program's planning and educational goals for the future.
