Welcome to the Gamma Psi Chapter of Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS)
Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS) is an honors’ society that had been established since the 1920’s by the inspiration of Dr. William T. Boyce.The purpose of Alpha Gamma Sigma is to recognize the academic potential and achievements of our students by providing them with scholarships.
At Diablo Valley College, we believe that joining the AGS does not only provide students a great opportunity to have academic success acknowledged, but AGS also helps students to develop individuality and leadership skills.
The Gamma Psi chapter intends to develop the human qualities of its members by having them participate in expanded community services and activities. We emphasize on the interconnection between the advisors, the board of officers and the members in order to support each other in walking through the rough but successful academic pathway.
We hope that the experience at Alpha Gamma Sigma impacts the life of most our members and eventually brings them scholarships, which reward their efforts on the behalf of our organization.
We enjoy interactions with new members. If you would like to take a glance at our club, our meeting takes place every Thursday from 2:30PM to 3:30PM in BFL 209.
