Committees deal with specific issues or concerns on campus.  Student participation in College Committees is the primary way that students fulfill their role in shared governance of the College.   Members of the student government are required to serve on either a College or ASDVC Committee to remain in good standing with the Board.  Student representatives are appointed to all College Committees by the ASDVC President and report back to the Board at weekly ASDVC meetings.

The ASDVC has two types of committees: standing committees and ad-hoc committees.  Standing committees are specifically named in the ASDVC Constitution and are chaired by an ASDVC Executive Officer.    ASDVC Committees meet during Fall and Spring semesters only.
