The Associated Students of Diablo Valley College (ASDVC) is comprised of a Board of Petitioners. Any student who wants to serve as a Board member must meet the following requirements:

• Collect & submit at least 250 signatures of currently registered DVC students by the deadline
• Have & maintain a 2.0 GPA
• Have & maintain at least 6 academic units
• Have a current ASDVC sticker
• Be in good academic and disciplinary standing
• Serve on at least one ASDVC or College Committee
• Attend the mandatory training and orientation retreats
• Attend weekly ASDVC meetings, Tuesdays 2-4 PM in the Student Union Conference Room
• Obtain a sticker discount with a local business

 

ASDVC Elections for 2006-07 Officers will be held at the DVC campus in Pleasant Hill (Student Union) and at the San Ramon Valley Campus (Room 103).  Elections will be Saturday, April 29 from 9 AM-1 PM (officer elections only); Monday, May 1 and Tuesday, May 2 from 9 AM-7 PM (officer elections and student representation fee).  All currently enrolled students are eligible to vote with an ID.  Click here to see a list of candidates for office.

The student representation fee is a $1.00 per semester fee collected at the time of registration.  The money collected for this fee shall be expended to provide support for students or representatives who may be stating their positions and viewpoints before city, county, and district government, and before offices and agencies of the state and federal government. 

Students may refuse to pay the fee for religious, political, moral or financial reasons.  The refusal must be submitted in writing at the time the student pays other fees collected by college officials.
